Shaan
is the Executive Director of Guinness Gallagher.
Formerly based in London heading up a small Mergers & Acquisition team,
he has led the firm in a number of its restructuring assignments. These
include multinationals, government departments and tertiary institutions.
A practising Barrister and Chartered Accountant, Shaan is involved in
a number of community based initiatives, including being a director of
the Hutt Valley Health hospital and the New Zealand Forest Research Institute.
Shaan is of Ngati Kahungunu and Ngati Raukawa descent and leads the firm's
Maori practice team advising both Maori and corporates on Maori related
issues. Shaan is also involved in a number of our international programmes,
including project managing the restructuring
of the Sarawak Forest Department in Malaysia for which Guinness Gallagher
was awarded a TRADENZ export award in 1997 and the World Bank funded privatisation
of the Pohnpei fishing industry.
